   Citizens Police Academy

The Citizens Police Academy is an twelve-week program designed to give Bridgewater residents an opportunity to learn more about their Police Department and the services we provide. This program is not intended to train participants to perform law enforcement duties, but rather create better-informed citizens and develop a working relationship with the community to solve problems within the Town.

The program participants meet one night per week and are given classes on a variety of subjects taught by Bridgewater Police Officers. During the session, class participants will also be allowed to attend a tour of Old Colony Correctional Institution at Bridgewater and Brockton District Court, as well as a ride-along with patrol officers on their shift.
